What are the opening hours of the Check-in Hall?

The check-in Hall is open daily from 06:00 to 00:00.

Is everyone allowed to enter the Check-in Hall?

Access to the Check-in Hall may be restricted to passengers only for safety and security reasons.

What are the available check-in options?

Passengers can check in online, at the self-service check-in kiosks located in the Check-in Hall, or at their airline’s check-in counter.

How early should I arrive at the airport before my flight?

We kindly advise passengers to contact their airline directly to confirm the opening hours of the check-in counter and arrive at the airport on time to ensure a smooth travel experience.

Digital Immigration (DI) Card

Who is required to complete the Digital Immigration (DI) Card?

All international visitors are required to complete the Digital Immigration Card (DI card) within 7 days prior to departure. The DI card is mandatory for all foreign travelers entering Curaçao and is required to clear immigration upon arrival. Residents of Curaçao are exempt from completing the DI Card.

Curaçao Express Pass (by Airside)

What is the Curaçao Express Pass service?

The Curaçao Express Pass is a service designed to fast-track arrival processing at Curaçao International Airport. Eligible passport holders can pre-process their verified passports with Curaçao’s Immigration Department prior to travel, allowing access to a dedicated fast-track lane for a smoother and more seamless arrival experience.

How does the Curaçao Express Pass work?
  • Before departure, complete and submit the Digital Immigration (DI) Card.

  • Upon arrival in Curaçao, follow the signage to the designated e-Gates in the Arrival Hall.

Security Screening

What are the Security Screening procedures?

General guidelines

  • Liquids, aerosols and gels in hand baggage must be in containers no larger than 100 ml (3.4 oz) each. Place these in a single, transparent, quart-sized resealable plastic bag that closes completely.
    Exceptions: liquid medication, baby food and special dietary items you require for the journey.
  • All other liquids, aerosols and gels must be packed in your checked baggage.
  • Certain items are strictly prohibited in both hand and checked baggage. To check whether your items are permitted, please click here to view the prohibited items list.
  • Note: Even permitted items may be subject to additional screening and could be denied if any doubt arises.
  • Keep essential items such as travel documents, medications
  • Place all electronic devices in the bin.
  • Place your shoes on the conveyor belt, not in the bin.
  • No beverages of any kind may be taken beyond the Security checkpoint.

Transit / Connection

Please check with your airline for the specific requirements that apply to you journey.

Upon arrival, follow the transit/connection signs and proceed to the gate assigned for your connection flight.

Depending on your itinerary, you may need to:

  • collect the boarding pass for your second flight;
  • collect your baggage and check it in with the other airline;
  • or go through additional security and passport checks.

Do I need to go through security screening again during my connecting flight?

This depends on your origin, destination, airline, and type of connection. All connecting passengers are required to pass through the security screening checkpoint before continuing to their departure gate.

  • If your baggage is checked through to your final destination and you already have your boarding pass, you may proceed directly via the Connecting Flights Simply scan your boarding pass and continue to the security screening checkpoint before proceeding to your departure gate.
  • If you need to collect your checked baggage, check in again for your next flight, or complete immigration/passport control procedures, you must first proceed through the arrivals process. After completing these formalities, you will need to check in for your onward flight (if required) and pass through security screening before entering the departure area.

As connection requirements vary depending on your itinerary, airline, and destination, we recommend contacting your airline in advance to confirm the procedures applicable to your journey.

What procedures apply if I need to go through security screening again during my connection?

If security screening is required during your connection, all applicable security screening procedures at Curaçao International Airport must be followed. Please remove prohibited items and prepare your belongings according to the instructions provided at the security checkpoint.

What is the difference between the GREEN and RED Customs channels?

After entering the territory of Curaçao, you must choose one of two Customs channels:

  • GREEN channel: Choose this channel if you have nothing to declare.
  • RED channel: Choose this channel if you are carrying goods that must be declared, exceed duty-free allowances, or are subject to restrictions or taxes.

Yes. Curaçao International Airport offers a dedicated Nursing Pod (Mamava) where parents and caregivers can comfortably and privately breastfeed, pump, or care for their baby while traveling. More information is available here:

Is there Wi-Fi available at the airport?

CUR offers complimentary basic Wi-Fi throughout the airport. Passengers can enjoy free internet access for 60 minutes per session. Once the 60 minutes have expired, simply reconnect to the network to continue using the service.

Yes. CUR Exclusive offers personalized VIP-style passenger assistance at Curaçao International Airport. There are six (6) airline ticket offices located at Curaçao International Airport: TUI, Winair, ZAir, Avior, Corendon, and Divi Divi Air. In addition, KLM’s ticket office is located near the Curaçao Airport Hotel. Please note that the TUI ticket office at the airport sells tickets for almost all airlines.

The Outbound Terminal Mid-Expansion Project is a strategic infrastructure project at Curaçao

International Airport focused on improving outbound passenger operations, enhancing operational efficiency, and creating a smoother passenger experience. The project includes improvements to boarding pass control, immigration, security screening, transit operations, passenger flow, accessibility, and terminal amenities.

Getting here and transportation

What transportation options are available at Curaçao International Airport?

Curaçao International Airport offers several transportation options for arriving and departing passengers, including taxis, public transportation, and car rental services.

  • Taxis: Taxi services are available outside the Arrivals Hall. Passengers can find authorized taxis at the designated taxi area.
  • Public bus: A public bus service is available near the airport for passengers who wish to use local transportation. One bus stop is located next to the Departures Hall, and another is located just after the Arrivals Hall.
  • Car rentals: Several official car rental companies operate at CUR, including internationally recognized brands. Their service counters are in the Arrivals Hall.
  • Shuttle car rentals: Approved off-airport car rental companies provide shuttle transportation to their rental locations. Passengers should arrange the service in advance and confirm airport pick-up.

 

What are the opening hours of the car rental counters?

Car rental counters are generally open during airport operating hours, from one hour before the first departing flight until two hours after the last departing flight. As opening hours may vary by car rental company, please contact your selected provider for the latest information.

Pickup and drop-off

Where can I pick up or drop off passengers at Curaçao International Airport?

The area in front of the Arrivals Hall is not a designated pick-up or waiting area. If you are collecting a passenger arriving, please wait in the airport parking area until they are ready for pick-up. The Departures Terminal drop-off zone is for immediate loading and unloading only. If you need more time, please use the airport parking area. For safety and security reasons, vehicles may not be left unattended in front of the terminal and are subject to enforcement, including wheel clamping.

Parking

Is parking free at the airport?

Parking at the airport is not free of charge. The drop-off zone at the Departures Terminal is designated for immediate loading and unloading only. If you require additional time, we kindly ask that you park your vehicle in the airport parking area. Please note that the first 15 minutes of parking are free of charge.

Where are the parking payment machines located?

For your convenience, the parking payment machines are strategically located at the following points:

  • One (1) outside the Check-in Hall, next to the MCB ATM
  • Two (2) at the entrance of the Arrivals Hall (on the right-hand side)
Which currencies and payment methods are accepted at the pay stations?

Payments at the pay stations can be made using the following methods:

  • Cash in XCG (coins or bills)
  • Cash in USD (bills only)
  • Debit or credit card (swipe or contactless/tap payment)
What are the parking tariffs?

The first 15 minutes are free of charge. After the initial 15 minutes, standard parking tariffs apply. For an overview of the current parking rates, please visit the Parking page on our website.

What should I do if I lose my parking ticket?

Each parking ticket is linked to the vehicle’s license plate. If you lose your parking ticket, please visit the Car Park Office located in the parking area. The staff will be able to retrieve your parking details, calculate the applicable parking fee, and issue a new ticket that will allow you to exit the parking facility.

Does CUR offer long term parking packages?

Yes, the airport offers long-term parking options. The parking system is fully automated, with a maximum daily rate of XCG 21.50. In addition, long-term parking packages are available for 7-day and 10-day periods. For more information, please visit the Parking page on our website.

Activities, photography & filming at the airport

Can I organize an activity at Curaçao International Airport?

It depends. All activities at Curaçao International Airport (CUR) require prior approval to ensure the safety, security, and uninterrupted operation of the airport. Requests must be submitted at least 10 working days in advance using the Activity Request Form. Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee approval.

Can I take photographs or film at the airport?

Casual photography for personal use is generally permitted in public areas. However, professional photography, videography, commercial productions, media filming, or organized photoshoots require prior approval. Approval is only granted for designated airport locations and is subject to operational, safety, and security requirements.

How do I request permission for photography or filming?

Complete the Photography and Filming request form and send it to advertising@curacao-airport.com. To allow sufficient time for review, please submit your request at least 10 working days before the planned photography or filming session.

What types of activities are not permitted?

The following activities are not permitted at CUR:

  • Public events
  • Political demonstrations or campaign activities
  • Religious ceremonies or evangelizing activities

Commercial promotions, product sampling, photography, and filming are only permitted with prior approval.

How are activity requests reviewed?

All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the relevant airport departments. Approval is subject to operational, safety, and security considerations and may be withdrawn if circumstances require.
